You don’t even need to leave your home or business to bail a loved one out of the jail in Auburn. We quickly handle bail arrangements for inmates in the Placer County Jail and Roseville City Jail. Of course, we’re happy to accept cash, personal checks, money orders and all major credit cards.

  • CALL US

We should be the first phone call you make. Your bail agent will need some information about your situation such as:

    • Where the detainee is being held
    • How long they have been there
    • What are the charges
  • SIGN PAPERWORK

If there are no government holds on the defendant and the bail bond company determines there is little or no risk of the bailee not appearing in court on their appointed date, then the bail bond is made available for purchase and paperwork is signed.

  • BAIL IS POSTED

A licensed bail bond agent will “post” the bail bond at the appropriate detention facility or jail that will result in the release of the defendant.

This process usually takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours.

We accept cash, personal checks, money orders and all major credit cards.

How Does Bail Work?

In order for someone who has been arrested in Placer County to be released from police custody (until their scheduled court date), bail must be paid. The courts determine the bail amount at the arraignment hearing. Bail is the amount of money the court must receive in order to release the individual back into the public. It is possible, however, to obtain freedom for a friend or family member in Placer County without posting the full bail amount.

Our team at Frank Calabretta’s Bail House can take care of posting the bail for you. The cost of bail bonds are set by law at 8 percent of the bail amount. This amount must be paid upfront and is known as the premium. For example, if bail is set at $10,000 the premium would be roughly $1,000. The licensed bail bonds agent delivers the premium (bail money) to the court and guarantees payment of the full bail amount if the defendant fails to show up for a scheduled court appearance. After taking care of the bail bond with the court, the bail bondsmen arrange for the release of the person who has been arrested.
