If you are looking to see whether a loved one has been incarcerated or released from incarceration, the Placer County Corrections website maintains a list that is updated daily. Simply view this inmate information page and scroll to the bottom to download the intake and release reports. They also offer public records requests through their site. Depending on where your loved one is located, you can also download the visiting hours of that facility.
There are many different ways you can contact a Placer County inmate including by phone, email, paper mail, and in person. Visiting hours depend upon the facility where they are being held, such as the Placer County Jail or other nearby facility.
While Placer County inmates are not allowed to take incoming calls, they are allowed to make outgoing calls and check voicemail messages from family and friends for a small fee. Letters are able to be mailed to inmates on the condition that they be sent through the US Postal Service. No hand-delivered mail will be accepted. The Placer County Corrections Office has a detailed list of rules and unacceptable mail items that loved ones should read thoroughly.
Inmates may also receive books or publications from bookstores and publishers that do mail order business providing the content of the publications do not pose a security concern.
Family members and friends are able to send email to Placer County inmates who are being held at the South Placer Jail in Roseville, California or the Auburn Jail in Auburn, California via the email portal at Access Corrections.
