Here We Go Again Selfie Incrimination

Selfie Incrimination: Burglar Becomes Crime Fighter and Catches Himself caught in the act.  Needed a bail bond to get out of jail.

Lately in Placer County because of AB109 there have been problems with jail overcrowding and it brings new meaning to the words “catch and release”. Three times in a week must be a record…and we are only talking about the stories that we are able to find.  Yes, it happens again and again and again!  Another social media misfit decided to post an inopportune selfie online and got himself into trouble.

This time, we jump across the pond to the UK, where a young man is being touted at the worst burglar ever.  According to reports, after breaking into a home, the super genius decided to take a selfie on a stolen phone and post it on WhatsApp — a website similar to Facebook.  This was all fun and games until the victim’s colleagues saw the post and contacted police.  The man was arrested with a ton of stolen goods at his own home the next day.  Talk about an easy arrest and conviction!

The decision came down this week and the man was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in jail.  Next time he might want to hold back on the selfie until he has a phone of his own.  Read the original story below.
