Getting Lei’d Law

Getting Lei’d in Hawaii: Hawaii Police Undercover and Under Covers with the longest profession standing (or laying)…

You work hard and deserve a vacation.  Right? Time to reboot and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.  Time to reflect on all of your hard work and time to not think of all your hard work.   There is nothing more relaxing  and comforting than getting off a plane in a warm and tropical destination and having an attractive woman put a flower lei around your neck.  The whole experience just screams relaxation — and remember you work hard and deserve this vacation!  That being said, this next bail bond blog post is not about flower leis, but rather the other kind of Lei that spelled a little differently and means something totally different…are you still with us?

According to a recent article, there is a long time law in Hawaii that allows undercover police officers who are in the middle of an investigation to participate in certain adult activities (that is the nicest way we could put it) with prostitutes.  In other words, they have a free pass and license to $^#@!  A new law was going to be passed that took out this controversial allowance/benefit but for some reason, law enforcement argued against it.  Hmmmmm?  Anyway, for now it looks like they won’t have to keep it in their pants while they are on duty.

In other news, applications to the Hawaii Police Academy reached record levels this week…just kidding…or are we?  Read the original article below.
